Feeling Grumpy!

I am so grateful to be rid of my crutches! Ever since I walked into his room Thursday morning, Cameron has wanted nothing to do with me and this is often the face I get. Daddy is so happy I have been given the clear the be rid of the crutches too, maybe Cameron will want to be near me again!

I went to the doctor this morning for a follow-up appointment and was given the clear to start walking on my ankle again - with a brace. It will be limited, I still need to rest it and get rid of the swelling. My ankle is currently some impressive colors. The doctor had a very fancy name for it, but any way you look at it, it is still a lot of really ugly bruising!

Would you believe...?

I am trying a new blog site because I want to see which site I like best. Hopefully I will decide soon so you won't have to be checking two blogs!

Back to the "would you believe" statement... I fell off of my front porch while looking for the lunar eclipse. I suppose it would be easier to take if it weren't the 3rd time I have done this (the other two times were for star gazing), but this time I sprained my ankle. It's a dandy too! I have pictures, but I am still debating if I want to post them!? It seems a little gross, especially since this is my first blog on this site!

Since I was on the phone with my mom when I did it, she was witness (at least verbally) the the fall. She felt so badly about it, we get to have her here for a week while I take a little time off to heal. Her help is much appreciated, even if it is really hard to accept! I think the situation fully hit me when I was at a luncheon meeting and someone asked if they could help me get my meal. I told them that I would be okay, to which they replied, there is no way you are going to be able to carry your plate with your crutches! Oh, yeah, that detail. After a quick evaluation, I decide they were correct, I hadn't even been able to carry a shoulder bag very well, there was no way I was going to be able to carry a plate of food and gimp along!!! The kids have all really enjoyed grandma's surprise visit, but I'm sure grandpa misses her good cooking! Glad he was willing to share!

And in case you were wondering, I didn't get to see the lunar eclipse, it was too cloudy :) Go figure! We won't have another one for about three more years, just about enough time for the ol' ankle to heal!
